Short-Term Health Insurance FAQ
1. Are prescription drugs covered?A: No, prescription drugs are not covered under the BCBSNC® Short-Term Health Care plan.
2. Is maternity covered?
A: No, maternity coverage is not provided for any members enrolled in a BCBSNC® Short-Term Health Care plan.
3. Are routine physicals covered?
A: No, routine & periodic physical examinations, immunizations & well baby care are excluded from coverage. However; pap smears, mammography screening & PSA tests, as provided for in the certificate, are covered. Please refer to the benefits booklet or certificate for a complete listing of limitations & exclusions.
4. Is my coverage renewable?
A: No, once your Short-Term coverage ends, you will have to wait 12 months before you're eligible for purchasing another BCBSNC® Short-Term Health Care plan.
5. When are premiums due?
A: Premiums are due in full at the time of submission.
