BCBSNC®'s HMO product has earned Excellent Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to measuring the quality of America's health care. In addition, in July 2002, our Blue OptionsSM plan became the first Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan in the state to be accredited by NCQA, earning Full Accreditation - the highest level available for PPO plans.
