Often notoriously lacking in the insurance business, service after the sale is a hallmark of the eHealthPlansNC service contract. As a customer of eHealthPlansNC, you can count on quarterly service calls, e-mail bulletins and periodic newsletters to keep you abreast of relevant health care topics (wellness, nutrition, exercise, etc.) and their impact on your health insurance coverage. Additionally, each October you will be contacted in preparation of the annual health insurance renewal. If you desire to make coverage changes, our staff will assist you in the process.
J. Michael Alexander, Co-founder - A North Carolina native (Raleigh) and graduate of UNC-Wilmington, Michael has 20 years of health insurance experience in North Carolina. Michael spent the first half of his insurance career working for Jefferson-Pilot, BCBSNC, Healthsource/CIGNA and United HealthCare. The second half has been as agency owner of Magellan Benefits Group, a full service employee benefits firm specializing in group insurance brokerage and benefits consulting for the 1-200 employee market. Michael has also been an active member of the North Carolina Association of Health Underwriters (NCAHU), while serving on the board of his local association the Triangle Association of Health Underwriters (TAHU). He has also served on several local agent advisory councils for the insurance carriers he represents. He has been a True Blue producer for BCBSNC® since the program's inception and is currently pursuing his CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) designation through the Wharton School of Business (University of Pennsylvania). Michael is committed to providing the highest level of service to his customers.
Meredith B. Gibson, Client Service Manager - Also a North Carolina native (Wilmington), Meredith is a graduate of Appalachian State University. She is responsible for all customer service issues including application assistance, billing discrepancies and coverage questions. Meredith is well-versed with the many different products offered by BCBSNC® and can expertly compare them against other health insurance vendors in NC. She is also a Servicing Agent with Magellan Benefits Group for all of their BCBSNC® group insurance clients. Meredith is extremely responsive and thorough in following-up to our customers' questions and concerns.
